The Story Of Prophet Idris (AS)

Long ago, Allah sent Prophet Idris (AS) to guide the people, including the descendants of Qabil. He taught them to believe in Allah and live good lives.

Prophet Idris (AS) was a wise and truthful prophet. Allah blessed him with knowledge and many useful skills. He was honored as one of the earliest people gifted with the pen and knowledge of writing.

He also taught useful things like mathematics, astronomy, understanding time, tailoring, crafts, and ways to build better places for people to live.

Prophet Idris (AS) did not keep his knowledge only for himself. He loved teaching others and helping them improve their lives.

The Quran tells us that Idris (AS) was “a man of truth and a prophet” and that Allah “raised him to a high position.” (Quran 19:56–57)
