Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) was a kind and beautiful boy. He was the son of Prophet Yaqub (peace be upon him).
One night, Yusuf had a special dream. He saw eleven stars, the sun, and the moon bowing to him.
Yusuf told his father about the dream. His father said, “My dear son, do not tell your brothers about this dream. They may become jealous.”
Yusuf had brothers who were jealous of him. One day, they took Yusuf far away and threw him into a deep well. Then they went home and told their father that Yusuf was gone.
Prophet Yaqub was very sad, but he stayed patient and trusted Allah.
Later, some travelers found Yusuf in the well. They took him to Egypt and sold him. Yusuf faced many difficult times, but he never forgot Allah.
Yusuf was put in prison even though he had done nothing wrong. In prison, he remained patient and worshipped Allah.
Allah gave Yusuf a special gift. He could understand the meaning of dreams. One day, the king of Egypt had a strange dream. Yusuf explained the dream correctly.
The king was amazed. He brought Yusuf out of prison and gave him an important position in Egypt.
Many years later, Yusuf met his brothers again. They did not recognize him at first. When Yusuf told them who he was, they became afraid.
But Yusuf did not take revenge.
He said, “There is no blame on you today. May Allah forgive you.”
Yusuf then met his father again. His family was reunited, just as Allah had planned.
Prophet Yusuf’s story teaches us that difficult times do not last forever. Allah sees our struggles and rewards those who remain patient and trust Him.

Be patient when life is difficult.
Forgive others when you have the chance.

رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ ۚ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi qad aataitanee minal mulki wa ‘allamtanee min ta’weelil ahaadees; faatiras samaawaati wal ardi Anta waliyyee fid dunyaa wal Aakhirati tawaffanee muslimanw wa alhiqnee bis-saaliheen.
“My Lord, You have given me authority and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous.”
