Allah chose a special and righteous man named Dhul-Kifl (peace be upon him). He was known throughout his life for his extraordinary patience, kindness, and deep devotion to Allah.
Dhul-Kifl (AS) lived among people who were searching for a just and noble leader. He stepped forward to guide them, dedicated to helping everyone live in a
One day, he was given an important responsibility. He promised to do his duty carefully.
He would judge between people with fairness. He would help those who were in need. He would never be careless with the trust Allah had given him.
Dhul-Kifl (AS) made a promise to Allah. He would fast during the day. He would spend part of the night in prayer. He would control his anger and remain patient.
These promises were not always easy.
One day, a man came to him with a problem. Dhul-Kifl (AS) listened carefully.
He did not become angry. He did not choose sides because of friendship or wealth. He wanted to do what was right.
Another time, someone tried to make him angry. Dhul-Kifl (AS) stayed calm.
He remembered his promise to Allah.
He knew that a strong person is not only someone who can fight. A truly strong person can control their anger and remain patient.
Allah loved his patience and obedience.
The Quran mentions Dhul-Kifl (AS) among His righteous servants. Allah says:
“And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl; all were among the best.”
(Surah Sad 38:48)
Dhul-Kifl (AS) teaches us that keeping our promises is important. We should be patient, fair, and kind, even when things are difficult.
When we make a promise to Allah or to people, we should try our best to keep it.
