Prophet Hud (AS) Calls the People to Truth
Prophet Hud (AS) spoke to his community with deep kindness and respect: “O my people, worship Allah alone! You have no god other than Him. Why do you not fear His punishment and ask for His forgiveness?”
Instead of listening, the leaders and strong men of ‘Aad mocked him, saying: “You are just an ordinary man like us. Why should we follow you when we are the strongest nation on earth?”
Prophet Hud (AS) remained calm and steadfast.
He reminded them that all strength and wealth come from Allah alone, just as early humanity learned through the Story of Prophet Adam (AS) and how the Story of Prophet Idris (AS) taught people to seek true wisdom instead of falling into pride.

When the people of ‘Aad continued to reject the truth, Allah stopped the rain from falling on their land. A terrible drought lasted for months, causing their rivers to dry up and their crops to wither.
One day, dark storm clouds appeared over their mountains. The people cheered, thinking rain was finally coming to save their farms.
But Prophet Hud (AS) warned them that it was not a rain cloud, but a severe judgment for their persistent wrongdoing.
A furious, freezing windstorm raged across the valley for seven nights and eight days without stopping.
The mighty stone towers and grand buildings of ‘Aad could not save them. Allah protected Prophet Hud (AS) and the small group of righteous believers, guiding them safely away from the storm.

Innī tawakkaltu ‘alallāhi Rabbī wa Rabbikum, mā min dābbatin illā huwa ākhidhum bi-nāṣiyatihā, inna Rabbī ‘alā ṣirāṭim-mustaqīm.
Meaning: “Indeed, I have relied upon Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no creature but that He holds it by its forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path.” (Surah Hud 11:56)
